New China 'List 4' Tariffs Announced
On May 13, the Office of the United States Trade Representative released the new list of Chinese goods to be subject to potential Section 301 tariffs, deemed List 4. This list covers nearly all remaining goods imported from China, including 3,805 full and partial tariff subheadings totaling nearly $300 billion. This tariff could be up to 25 percent.
USTR announced the following timeline for comments and responses:
June 10: Due date for filing requests to appear and a summary of expected testimony at public hearing.
June 17: Due date for submission of written comments.
June 17: Section 301 Committee public hearing.
The RV Industry Association government affairs team is reviewing the list to determine how many of these items will negatively impact the RV industry and will continue to update members throughout the process.
