Standards Training Video: Electrical Box Sizing

In addition to conducting unannounced inspections of members’ RV manufacturing plants, the RV Industry Associations team of full-time inspectors provide educational resources and hands-on training to manufacturer members in an effort to support member compliance with industry-adopted codes and standards.

One of these education resources is a series of standards training videos which educate personnel regarding deviations that are being cited most often in an effort to minimize the number of citations in the future.

In this four-minute training video, we focus on Electrical Box Sizing. Here we get a detailed explanation of the procedure for determining the proper size for outlet boxes in the 120/240V electrical system. To allow enough space for all the conductors and devices contained within the electrical boxes, it is critical that they are sized correctly.

This is just one of many educational training videos available on the RV Industry Association’s YouTube channel. Members are encouraged to use these videos as training resources for production personnel and others involved with code compliance.
