2019 California RV Show Moving To The Auto Club Speedway In Fontana

The California RV Show, the largest consumer RV event on the West Coast, is set to roar into the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif., in 2019. The 10-day consumer event showcasing thousands of RVs from all the major manufacturers will take place October 4-13. In addition to featuring all the latest RVs, the show will be packed with live music, educational seminars and celebrity appearances.

The California RV Show has doubled in size over the past eight years and the new venue will accommodate a more strategically focused layout and floorplan in order to build a better customer experience. Attendees will be able to enjoy new amenities from a world class facility that regularly holds large consumer events, such as free onsite parking and built-in bathrooms and concessions.

“The California RV Show has a long-standing history throughout Southern California,” said Dave Allen, President of Auto Club Speedway. “We are happy to have the show relocate here at the Speedway and are eager to see how the event grows each year to enhance the consumer’s RV shopping experience.”

Motorsports icon Roger Penske announced the construction of the speedway on the site of the abandoned Kaiser Steel mill in Fontana. The first-class racing facility opened 1997 and has hosted an annual NASCAR race every year since. Today, the Speedway is owned and operated by International Speedway Corporation.

To promote the upcoming event, the California RV Show will have a display in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Fan Zone at the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Auto Club 400 Race Weekend – March 16-18, 2019 and show organizers will greet the 2,000+ RVs and guests loading into the infield to camp for the weekend.

The RV Industry Association’s government affairs team and Mike Belote from California Advocates, made the move to the Auto Club Speedway possible. The team worked closely with the California RV Dealers Association, the California legislature and the Governor’s office to ensure passage of a bill amending the state’s RV show law to allow the event to take place within 30 miles of the prior show location. The Auto Club Speedway, which is less than 20 miles from the previous show’s location, offers more built in amenities for RV manufacturers, dealers and particularly RV consumers.
