2020 Edition Of RV Industry Association Park Model RV Handbook Now Available

Recently, the RV Industry Association Board of Directors approved the 2020 edition of the ANSI A119.5 Park Model RV standard with an effective date of September 1, 2020 and an enforcement date of January 1, 2021. To assist RV Industry Association Park Model RV manufacturers and provide a roadmap for RV Industry Association inspectors, the Association’s Standards Department publishes a handbook as a companion to the standard. The handbook for 2020 ANSI A119.5 Park Model RV Standard is now available for purchase in the RV Industry Association’s online store.

The updated Park Model RV Handbook is comprised of information on the Park Model RV standard, as well as the RV Industry Association’s enforcement positions regarding the manufacture of Park Model RVs. The handbook includes more than 200 illustrations and an array of tables and charts. Its primary purpose is to provide members with a tool that can be used to achieve uniformity based on the 2020 Edition of the ANSI A119.5 Park Model RV Standard and Article 552 of the National Electric Code (NEC 2020). The updated 2020 ANSI A119.5 Park Model RV standard can also be purchased in the online store.

As a requirement of membership, each Park Model RV manufacturer must have at least one copy of the 2020 ANSI A119.5 Park Model RV Standard, the 2020 National Electric Code, and the Park Model RV Handbook present at every production campus operated by that manufacturer. The RV Industry Association inspection team verifies that the manufacturer has the latest edition at every production campus during their unannounced plant inspections.
