Business Is ‘Through The Roof’ For North Carolina RV Dealer
As more and more people continue to look for ways to get outside this summer, one local RV dealer said he’s seen a significant change in sales.
In a recent report from WXII News, at Bill Plemmons RV World, business is through the roof.
“We cannot keep up we are just bonkers just trying to get parts in and get RVs in and we are just busy,” said Steve Plemmons, CEO and President of Bill Plemmons RV World.
Plemmons said the increase in sales this month is a lot different then it was in April when they were down about 5 percent. Vice President Sterling Plemmons said he believes that’s because more people want to get outside while still being able to socially distance themselves.
“I think there is a lot of people who want to stay out of hotels you know when you have your own RV you are in control of where it’s been and who has been in it,” Sterling Plemmons said.
The RV Industry Association the national trade association for RV manufacturers and suppliers said the interest in RVing is skyrocketing. As dealers are able to open back up across the United States, "the traffic to those dealerships is increasing significantly," said Spokesperson Monika Geraci.
Vice President Shawna Plemmons said she does not see a slow down happening anytime soon.
“If they can figure out a way to do it and do it safely then that’s what they are going to do and there are figuring out this is the way to do it,” Shawna Plemmons said
