Comedian J.B. Smoove Gives Architectural Digest An Inside Look At His RV

J.B. Smoove is best known for his role on the hit HBO show Curb Your Enthusiasm, but the comedian has another career goal in mind. “I am looking forward to being the number one celebrity RV'er,” he jokes. In a new video, Smoove gives AD a tour of his 2013 Damon Outlaw Toy Hauler, and though the vehicle is laden with amenities, that's not the only thing that fuels his passion for his movable third home (he also has a residence in Los Angeles and a Brooklyn condo).

After Smoove and his wife, musician Shahidah Omar, rented RVs to drive to music festivals a few times, “we started falling in love with them,” he says. “We started meeting these retirees and snowbirds who come down from Canada.” The scene at RV shows and resorts, he says, is “so laid back,” and there seems to be a real sense of community among those who live (at least part of) their lives on the road. “RV resorts are beautiful,” says Smoove, noting that he and Omar prefer them to other no-frills campsites. “You can walk around the property, rent golf carts, play tennis, and go swimming.”
