Get Involved With The RV Industry Association!
The RV Industry Association represents over 500 manufacturers and component and aftermarket suppliers who together produce 98 percent of all RVs made in the United States. Companies who join the RV Industry Association become valued members of the organization and stakeholders in growing the RV industry.
The Association is driven by members who graciously volunteer their time and expertise to help realize the collective mission to promote and protect the RV industry. An engaged membership helps the Association achieve its goals, develop new leadership, and foster communication. There are many ways to get involved, including:
Join a committee. There are nearly 30 committees that range in topics from marketing, membership, and advocacy to foreign affairs and standards issues. These committees are responsible for setting the strategic direction for many of the Association’s programs. Those interested in serving on a committee should reach out to that committee’s chair or staff liaison.
Run for the Board of Directors. As the highest level of authority in the Association’s overall organizational structure, the Board of Directors is responsible for setting and overseeing strategy and policy related to critical topics. These include standards, marketing, government affairs, trade shows, industry education and Association finances. Elections are held each fall.
Become an RV industry advocate. There are many ways to advocate for policies that create a more favorable business environment. Participate in Advocacy Day during RVs Move America Week, an annual event when members from across the RV industry meet with their Congressional representatives and federal agencies to discuss important RV industry issues. Members can also host their federal, state, or local policymakers at their place of business. It is invaluable in helping officials understand the impact of proposed policies on individuals and businesses in their district.
Attend an industry event. The RV Industry Association unites the RV industry by creating a platform for education, networking, and consumer exposure by providing a single gathering place for manufacturers, dealers, suppliers, technicians, industry partners, and national leaders. Association events can connect members with new technologies and ideas while helping to foster new business partnership opportunities. Check out all upcoming events here.
