Go RVing Debuts New “Go On A Real Vacation” Spot

Go RVing’s “Go on a Real Vacation” campaign is in full swing and viewers can now see the second of two broadcast spots on television and online. The new spot takes RV dreamers on a road trip of “real showers”, “real traffic”, “real quiet and more.

The new campaign targets outdoor enthusiasts with at least one child in the household and is designed to appeal to travelers whose fly/cruise vacations have been put on hold. The ads are currently airing on a variety of stations including ESPN, NBC Sports, CNN, Fox, MSNBC, Nat Geo Wild, Travel and TLC.

In the opening week of the Wave 2 launch, the first :30 spot was seen by more than 110 million viewers. On social, Facebook continuing to be the workhorse of the paid campaign with over 7 million impressions in the first week.

As organic search for RV terms slows down coming out of the summer months, the Go on a Real Vacation ad campaign is pushing through. And it's having an affect- traffic to GoRVing.com has increased significantly:

  • Unique viewer traffic was up 37.2% over previous period (341.3k)
  • Website sessions and Pageviews were both up 38% (sessions 385K, pageviews 762K)
  • Web traffic is overwhelmingly coming from California, Texas, Florida, Illinois and New York representing 40% of total website sessions
  • 86% of visitors were new visitors
  • Where to find rentals remains the 2nd most popular page after the homepage
  • Lead submissions were up 18.5% during this period
  • Dealer searches were up 30.5%
  • Rental searches were up 44.3%
  • Campground searches were up 10%
