🔢 Numbers to know: The US adventure tourism market reached $42.5 billion in 2021 with a projected 14.2% compound annual growth from 2022 to 2030. Despite tightening finances, 87% of US Gen Yers and Zers are willing to spend more on once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
- 👆 Luckily, the affordability of RV travel means that it’s still possible to save while traveling. A study conducted in 2023 by an outside, independent firm (and commissioned by Go RVing and the RV Industry Association) found that RV vacations cost much less than other types of vacation travel, even when factoring in fuel prices and the cost of RV ownership.
- There are average cost savings of up to 60% for a four-person travel party, while a two-person travel party saves up to an average of 46%, depending on factors such as the type of RV and type of vacation.
