Grand Design Hosts Toys For Tots Drive In Elkhart
Grand Design Recreational Vehicle Company is thrilled to host Christmas in July, an event supporting the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. Toys for Tots is a 70-year national charitable program with the goal of delivering, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youth in support of becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
Grand Design encourages the community to join the fun and help stuff the Momentum! The public toy drive will be held on Saturday, July 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Customer Support Center at 5200 Hoffman Street in Elkhart. The Honor Network, a Grand Design Goodwill Ambassador, will also be on-site to help collect donations.
“Grand Design is honored to partner with the Toys for Tots program in support of patriotism and our local community,” said Don Clark, President and CEO of Grand Design RV. “Our team members have been gathering toys to donate throughout the month and many will be volunteering at the event to greet and assist fellow community members who choose to participate,” Clark continues. “We live in an extremely generous area, and it puts a smile on all of our faces to host an event that positively impacts our local youth.”
Toys donated will directly benefit children in the Elkhart County and the surrounding area. Only new and/or unwrapped toys will be accepted. Neither toy guns, bows, or arrows will be accepted for donation.
Food trucks will be on-site to provide food for purchase and accept cash donations. Mission BBQ coupons will also be gifted to the first handful of community members to donate!
Since 1947, the Toys for Tots program have assisted over 272 million children. The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a not-for-profit organization authorized by the U.S. Marine Corps and the Department of Defense to provide fundraising and other necessary support for the annual Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.
