National MFG Day Kicks Off Manufacturing Month On October 7th

Mark your calendars! Manufacturing Day 2022 is just around the corner, taking place on Friday, October 7th. Also known as MFG Day, this is manufacturing’s biggest annual opportunity to inspire the next generation to start careers in modern manufacturing through a series of focused events to promote manufacturing to students, parents, and educators on the first Friday of October continuing throughout the rest of the month.

Now in its twelfth year, MFG Day is an initiative of The Manufacturing Institute, with the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association as a founding partner. The Institute grows and supports the manufacturing industry’s skilled workers for the advancement of modern manufacturing. The Institute’s diverse initiatives support women, veterans, students, and workers through skills training programs, community building, and supporting the advancement of their career in manufacturing.

The Institute executes MFG Day at the local level, supported by thousands of manufacturers as they host students, teachers, parents, job seekers, and other local community members at open houses designed to showcase modern manufacturing technology and careers.

MFG Day celebrates those who proudly stand behind goods and services made in America, and the RV industry has every reason to join the party! Manufacturers of RVs, and their legion of suppliers, continue to develop products and unlock new technologies that grow our economy. The industry creates jobs through entrepreneurship, and competitiveness has been a key component of the revitalization of American manufacturing.
