Newmar Technicians Receive RV Technical Institute’s Level 1 Training
Last week, over 30 Newmar technicians received the RV Technical Institute’s Level 1 training. The technicians then put their skills to the test by taking the Level 1 exam at the end of the course. Preliminary results indicate that the majority of the technicians successfully passed both Level 1 exams and will become RV Technical Institute Level 1 certified.
“It was great to see our Newmar service technicians attending the RV Technical Institute’s training this past week,” says Casey Tubman, President of Newmar and a member of the RV Technical Institute’s Board of Directors. “At Newmar, we strive to provide our customers with the best service experience possible through being trained across all codes and standards in the RV industry. We appreciate the Institute providing the tools and testing necessary to maintain these high standards of service.”
The course was taught by Bill Stewart, the RV Technical Institute’s Director of Education. Sharonne Lee, the Institute’s Vice President, Education & Operations and Halle Edmister, the program’s Account Specialist, also supported the training efforts.
“This was one of our best classes ever. They were very attentive and asked a lot of great questions,” says Bill of the Newmar technicians. The RV Technical Institute's team is working with Newmar to develop a plan to assist the technicians in taking the Level 2 course.
The RV Technical Institute’s Level 1 class teaches propane, electrical, plumbing, appliances, body, generator, and chassis systems and Level 2 focuses on diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs of those same systems. The RV Technical Institute’s gold standard training is available for manufacturers through a variety of partnerships such as training subscription or as an Authorized Learning Partner.
