NHTSA And Transport Canada To Headline RV Industry Association’s Regulatory & Safety Compliance Seminar
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Safety Recall Specialist Choon Lee and Transport Canada Head of Recalls Jeremy Hamilton will kick off this year’s Regulatory & Safety Compliance Seminar on Tuesday, July 26, in Elkhart, IN. Lee’s presentation will focus on NHTSA’s recall trends and Hamilton’s presentation will cover Transport Canada regulatory updates, recall trends, and RV labeling in Canada.
The 7th Annual Regulatory & Safety Compliance Seminar is open to all members of the RV Industry Association and targeted particularly for those who have compliance responsibilities, whether related to safety or environmental regulations, and those that wish to learn more about safety and recall processes.
In addition to the keynote presentations, there will be a panel discussion with industry compliance veterans who will cover key safety and compliance issues and answer attendee questions. The panelists are:
- David Mihalick, Vice President Vehicle Safety & Regulatory Compliance, THOR Industries
- Von Lindsey, Owner, Lindsey Research Services
- Mike Becker, Head of Compliance, Forest River
- Kevin Van Bronkhorst, Director of Enterprise Product Safety and Compliance, Winnebago Industries
- Christie Iannetta, Partner, Nelson Mullins
The day will end with a presentation from Dale Kardos of Kardos & Associates LLC, who will cover the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and California Air Resource Board (CARB) regulatory impacts on the RV industry.
