RV Campgrounds Are Noticing An Increase In Business
Another record for the RV industry. New data from the RV Industry Association shows shipments for June are the highest of the year, and the highest monthly total since fall 2018.
The RVIA says that reflects younger, first time buyers.
The campground manager says this is one of the busiest years for RVs that he’s seen, and while many are returning customers, he says a lot of them are new.
“Demand is absolutely exceeding supply. A lot more people are calling in. We turn away people all the time especially on Fridays," said Shamrock RV Park Campground Manager Rick Camacho.
Camacho says that weekend demand is spilling into the rest of the week.
“We’re fuller on the weekdays too.”
He says that could be in part due to the shortened season this year due to coronavirus. But he also says the pandemic has led to more first-time campers.
