RV Industry Association Board Of Directors Meets
Last week, on the front end of the RV Leadership Conference, the RV Industry Association Board of Directors held its first meeting of 2023 and the first meeting under the direction of new Chair Kevin McArt. The Board of Directors is the highest-level authority in the association’s overall organizational structure and is responsible for setting and overseeing strategy and policies related to critical topics such as standards, marketing, government affairs, industry education, statistical data, and association finances.
During the meeting, the Board voted to approve the appointment of Missy Rogers, Tredit Tire & Wheel Director of National Accounts, to fulfill the remaining unexpired term of Jennifer Sailor.
The Board also approved changing the name of the “Parts Taskforce” to the “RV Service Support Coalition.” The Coalition, led by past RV Industry Association Chair Garry Enyart, is focused on improving the repair event cycle time (RECT) and includes members from OEM, supplier, and dealer companies.
Additionally, the Board approved the creation of a Sustainability Committee, which will be made up of people from RV Industry Association member companies who have an interest in the success of a sustainable future for the RV industry. The committee will serve as the convening body for sustainability experts in the RV industry to share ideas and best practices as well as an educational resource for companies looking to increase their sustainability practices.
The next meeting of the RV Industry Board of Directors will take place during RVs Move America Week on Thursday, June 8, 2023.
