RV Industry Association Hosts Regulatory & Safety Compliance Seminar
On September 8, 2021, the RV Industry Association hosted its sixth annual Regulatory & Safety Compliance seminar. The event focused on compliance and recall topics, including: NHTSA and Transport Canada labeling requirements, the basics of Early Warning Reporting (EWR) requirements, and how to improve recall completion rates.
A keynote presentation was given by Josh Neff and Alex Ansley of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, followed by a panel consisting of industry compliance veterans where attendees had the opportunity to discuss and ask questions.
The event is very well regarded by its audience and presenters. “I wholeheartedly support the continuing education of our industry in all matters, especially the areas of compliance,” said Leo Akins, Forest River General Manager of Regulatory Compliance. “I can think of no better way than to give those in our industry events like this seminar to engage and learn with industry professionals and regulators.”
This sentiment is echoed by David Mihalick, THOR Industries Senior Director of Vehicle Safety & Regulatory Compliance. “The information and insight from NHTSA and Transport Canada officials provided at this seminar is critical for anyone involved in standards and compliance. Everyone comes away with new information that will further enhance their compliance knowledge which helps their company and the industry overall.”
