RV Industry Association Schedules Briefing On New Event Concept
A lot of buzz has circulated in the RV industry with the new event set to debut in spring 2019. In an announcement, issued last Friday, RV Industry Association President Frank Hugelmeyer notified members of an upcoming briefing to be held in Elkhart, Ind., on Thursday, March 1 at the RV/MH Hall of Fame.
While it's been just a short month since the decision, the announcement has created quite the buzz across the industry and has resulted in much excitement around the idea of a totally new annual RV event. At the same time, the new direction has generated quite a few questions. To be honest, that is to be expected as there are many questions that still need answers.
In addition to speaking to our members, we have also reached out to key stakeholders and our partners in the dealer community. We've had a series of meetings with individual companies and dealer groups, and the new vision will be presented to the RVDA board in March.
As we move forward, dealer input, participation, and support are vital to our success. With that goal in mind, the Tradeshow and Events Committee is announcing the creation of an advisory group that will include dealers and other industry partners to help shape and direct this new industry platform.
Please stay tuned for additional information as we will be moving quickly to build an event that propels the entire RV industry forward, sets a path for our future, and celebrates the achievements of our $50 billion RV industry.
