RV Technical Institute Attends Washington School Counselor Association Conference
The Washington School Counselor Association— a professional organization which represents over 1000 school counselors, school counselor educators, and graduate students in Washington state—held their annual Rebuild conference in Seattle last week.
The conference featured 30+ exhibitors, including the RV Technical Institute, the RV industry’s gold standard training curriculum. During the main breakfast event, the Institute’s Director of Education, Tracy Anglemeyer, spoke to the 800+ school counselor attendees about the RV industry, the need for service technicians, and the demand for skilled trades across the country.
By attending symposium events like this one, the RV Technical Institute is continuing its mission to recruit more people into the RV technician field, including recent high school graduates who are interested in the skilled trades.
“The RV Technical Institute is eager to provide information to high school students who are interested in a different career path to higher education. These conferences are a great way for our team to speak directly with high school counselors on the career opportunities available in the skilled trades, especially the RV industry. Our goal is that this information then makes it back to interested students,” says Anglemeyer. “We were eager to attend and help sponsor the Washington School Counselor Association, and we’re excited to continuing to close the RV technician gap.”
