RV Technical Institute Continues Recruitment Efforts At Detroit RV Show
The Michigan Association of Recreation Vehicles and Campgrounds held its 57th annual Detroit RV & Camping Show earlier this month. The show featured hundreds of RVs, on-site dealers, RV financing, and RV rentals, as well as exhibitors offering parts, accessories, and campground information.
Among the exhibitors was the RV Technical Institute, who spoke with consumers about the RV service technician career path and shared more information on the program. The Institute, who has attended this event for three years, received an overwhelmingly positive response from interested attendees.
“We had a large amount of interest from people,” says Halle Edmister, the RV Technical Institute’s Account Specialist who was at the event. “Some of them were interested in the course as a way to solve issues on their own RVs, and others were interested in becoming a mobile technician, since this would be something they could do pretty much anywhere.”
Along with consumers, their team also spoke with attending dealers, many of whom are Authorized Learning Partners or location partners, to find out how the program was working for them and how the training was going for their current technicians.
RV Technical Institute's technician training program is the RV industry’s gold standard. Their team leveraged decades of industry experience and partnered with the top RV manufacturer and supplier leaders in the field to develop the most up-to-date and influential RV technician training program ever built. By attending consumer events like this one, the RV Technical Institute is continuing to recruit more people into the RV technician field.
“We are very pleased to partner with the RV Technical Institute to increase awareness about career opportunities in the RV industry,” said Michigan Association of Recreation Vehicles and Campgrounds Director Darren Ing. “Technicians play a vital role in the success of the industry and their skills are in demand as interest in the RV lifestyle continues to grow. The Michigan Association of Recreation Vehicles and Campgrounds is committed to helping provide information and resources to assist with that effort. The RV Technical Institute is always welcome to participate in all of our RV & Camping shows.”
“We would like to thank the Michigan Association of Recreation Vehicles and Campgrounds, who provided the complimentary booth space,” adds Curt Hemmeler, the RV Technical Institute’s Executive Director. “We greatly appreciate the support, and we look forward to attending the show again next year!”
