RVX: Celebrating Innovation
Starting March 12, 2019, just in time to kick off the camping season across much of the country, the Calvin L. Rampton Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, UT, will reverberate with activity as it plays host to the newest, most ground-breaking RV event ever seen. It’s RVX – a brand new event focused on spotlighting the most innovative achievements from brands and individuals who are taking the industry to new heights.
All segments of the industry will come together at the Salt Palace in the three-day celebration of the RV lifestyle. To kick-off RVX, attendees will be among the first to witness a new event called “The Reveal,” where the newest, boldest, and some never-before-seen RV products will be unveiled. Supported by a multi-million-dollar campaign from Go RVing, The Reveal will not only serve to drive consumer awareness of the industry’s most amazing RVs, but dealers will leave empowered, inspired and armed with tools to more effectively reach a new generation of consumers. In a first, Go RVing, the industry’s national promotional platform designed to draw more consumers into dealer showrooms, will stream portions of the RVX event online to millions of potential new customers through their channels and media partners.
The RV Industry Association is currently calling for all manufacturers to nominate their best products to be selected for The Reveal. A panel of social influencers and outdoor media will be selecting the final products to be shown based on criteria focused on innovation.
“RVX presents a great opportunity for RV manufacturers and suppliers to showcase their latest products and demonstrate how their brand helps consumers achieve the lifestyle they are looking for,” said RV Industry Association’s Marketing Director of Trade Shows and Events Jeremy Greene. “With growing numbers of younger consumers interested in outdoor experiences, dealers who attend RVX will gain valuable insights by meeting with brands to better understand what products are the right fit for the right customer, just as spring and summer travel seasons are getting started.”
The spring timing of RVX, along with a focus on the latest and greatest in RV products, is critical to attracting national media attention for the $50 billion-dollar RV industry. Broad trade and consumer media reporting will spark potential buyers’ interest in the newest RV products, drawing them into dealers’ showrooms, while dealers attending RVX will be inspired to use what they learn at the show to jump-start their own selling seasons.
A robust education platform is planned to go alongside the product reveals. RVDA recently announced a partnership to provide highly curated sales education from the Mike Molino RV Learning Center to dealers in attendance. Courses may include professional development, sales training, service training, HR guidance as well as best practices, succession planning and how to recruit staff and skilled labor to a dealership.
In addition, industry thought-leaders will be driving the conversation on culture, innovation, lifestyle and marketing through educational general sessions and PowerTalks throughout the event. The RVX education platform will better equip dealers to learn about the newest products coming to market as well as how to monetize their programs and raise revenues in their dealerships.
In another first, dealers in attendance will leave with a Dealer Toolkit filled with exclusive content for RV dealerships to help them develop their own brand identity and connect with consumers in their market. The toolkit will be an all-encompassing guide to targeting and selling to a diverse market.
The RVX booth space application process is now open and attendee registration will open October 1. To sign up and get more information on the schedule, visit RVIAshow.org.
