Testimonial: RV Technical Institute Provides Level 1 Training For Hemlock Hill RV
The RV Technical Institute recently provided Level 1 training at Hemlock Hill RV Sales & Service dealership in Southington, CT. The course was led by the Institute’s Director of Education Bill Stewart and attended by dealership staff.
This is one example of the RV Technical Institute’s Dealer On-Site Training initiative; the Institute sends one of its four instructors to a qualifying dealership location that has expressed interest (rather than the dealership sending its technicians to the Institute’s facility).
In Level 1 training, the RV techs learned about and demonstrated knowledge of propane, electrical, plumbing, appliances, body, generator and chassis systems.
When reflecting back on the dealership’s training experience, Hemlock Hill RV General Manager Chris Andro commended the instructor and the course for fostering a welcoming learning environment.
"It was a great experience having Bill at our dealership this week and doing our training,” Chris says. “Bill and our team immediately gelled, and the week was one to remember. Everyone in the class said Bill made them feel comfortable, smart, and engaged the whole time.”
Additionally, the Hemlock Hill RV appreciated the expertise and readiness to embrace learning opportunities. For example, Chris says, during the Level 1 training his dealership “had a puzzling scenario in the shop. Bill jumped right in to help solve the issue and he taught our tech something new. You all have built a top-notch program and team.”
