ANSI Celebrates 100 Years
Since its founding in 1918, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has served as administrator and advisor of the vigorous, market-led U.S. private sector voluntary standardization system. The Institute has assisted in strengthening our global economy and has been a leader in encouraging members of organizations, such as the RV Industry Association, to comply with standards, so that products can be used and trusted.
The RV Industry Association and ANSI have worked together since the early 1970’s to advance the global competitiveness of U.S. recreational vehicle business and the American quality of life by promoting and facilitating voluntary consensus standards and conformity assessment systems and advocating their integrity.
“Working within the ANSI process, while leveraging our members’ industry knowledge, has resulted in the establishment of regularly updated requirements, leading to the constant improvement in the safety of RVs,” said RV industry Association Vice President of Standards and Education.
In honor of its milestone, the RV Industry Association applauds the Institute and all its supporters for the indelible impact they have made in improving environmental consciousness by ensuring the safety and quality of our people, products and environment.
