Country Artist Miranda Lambert Purchases Her First New Trailer With Plans To Travel The Country

May 4, 2020

In a recent article from AutoEvolution, musicians often say that, when touring, they don’t get the chance to see much of the cities they stop in. That happens regardless of whether they travel by tour bus across the country or by private plane / charter around the world.

Country singer Miranda Lambert plans to change that, now that she’s no longer allowed to tour because of restrictions issued in the ongoing health crisis. This year, she will travel across the United States with husband Brendan McLoughlin in their brand new trailer, a 2020 Airstream Globetrotter.

In a recent Instagram post in which she talks about her latest acquisition, Lambert reveals that she’s actually a vintage trailer collector but this is her first choice for a new one. And it’s a great one, too: the 2020 Globetrotter, which is a modern interpretation of the Globetrotter Travel Trailers of the 1950s, comes in 8 size variants, with all the creature comforts of home, including “a real shower,” high-end kitchen fixtures and appliances, plenty of space, and accommodation for up to six people.

Lambert doesn’t say which model she chose. Prices on 2020 Globetrotters range from $95,000 to $130,000 – not that money was an issue with her.

In a caption to a couple of photos and one video of the interior, the singer says she’s looking forward to a life on the road and #livinlikehippies, because she will be able to make new music and, more importantly, see all the places she always wanted to see but never got to it.

She named the new trailer The Sheriff and calls it their newest family member. “I don’t like change but I’m learning to embrace it. Until I get get back on Elvira and tour, I’ll be pulling this rig all over the country,” she says, adding that she had to “let go” of some of her vintage trailers to make room for this one.

All 2020 Airstream Globetrotters come with WiFi, Apple AirPlay and Bluetooth connectivity, surround audio system, LG LED HDTVs with Blu-Ray and 110V battery power, for “a movie night even when you’re off the grid.” In case Lambert ever grows bored of sightseeing when she’s on the road.
