RV Industry Association Hosts Second Safety Seminar
The RV Industry Association will host its second safety seminar on November 20 which is an extension of its first safety seminar hosted earlier this year on employee safety in the workplace. This members-only event, Creating A Safer Workplace: Practical Directions, will take place at 8am at the RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Ind., equipping attendees with the tools to better assist them in their production facilities. A light breakfast of pastries and assorted drinks will be begin at 7am.
The seminar will focus on how to identify, solve, evaluate and assess safety issues by covering topics such as:
- What Does Great Safety Performance Look Like?
- Supervisor’s Roles in Safety
- Safety Metrics and Communication
- Making Sense of Safety Data
- Hazard Evaluation and Assessment
The RV Industry Association welcomes back Ted Schorn as the presenter for the event. Schorn is the Vice President of Quality and Technology with Enkei America, Inc., where he has worked for more than 30 years. He has authored numerous books and papers where he’s been able to share his expertise with others on quality, workplace safety and leadership training. Ted’s no stranger to the industry as he’s also helped our trailer industry resolve wheel issues, as well as teaching quality control measures in a series of workshops for our members.
