RV Technical Institute Graduate Featured During Outdoor Recreation Workforce Webinar
To accompany the release of a brand-new report on the outdoor workforce, Outdoor Recreation Roundtable and a panel of outdoor professionals in diverse roles have highlighted in-demand career opportunities across the $689 billion outdoor recreation economy.
One of the webinar's panelists is Tim Scott, a graduate of the RV Technical Institute and a certified Level 2 Technician who is currently working as a technician at Camping World. He has ten years of experience in the trades and three in the outdoor industry.
"All of my education, as far as certifications, comes from the [RV] industry and from RVTI," Tim said, who also emphasized the industry's growth potential. Prior to working in the RV industry, he noted that his salary was around $25,000, and has since increased to the low $70,000s. "This is a great opportunity for my family and for people who may not have same opportunities as someone with higher education," he explained.
Hear what Tim Scott had to say starting at 13:00.
